Rucker is one of the top wide receivers in the country coming out of 2021 class, and will have the chance to choose any school he would like. Currently his school of choice is the local Gators, he committed to the Florida Gators back on November 26, 2018. Rucker stated that he is firm on his commitment and doesn’t see anything changing that. The 5’11 160lbs wide receiver plays much bigger then his measurements are, 14 schools have verbally offered a scholarship to him. Out of the schools, Rucker stated “Georgia meant the most” to him when he received it.
Schools that haven’t offered him that he would like to receive are LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. All 3 of the power 5 Florida schools have offered, and have a shot in his recruitment. Rucker has visited Florida already and has plans to visit Florida State this weekend, but will get to Florida for Junior Day and would like to set up a visit to Miami.
Currently Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and UCF are the schools that he hears from most. A big thing a school could offer him, is life after football. He would like to find a school with a great education system, but where he could end up after college is important to him. Heading into his junior year, Rucker would like to break records he currently set last year and set state records as well.
