The University of Florida legacy is a highly recruited defensive back out of central florida, and has plenty of national recognition. At 6’1 160lbs Pouncey has received some heavy weight offers including Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, Stanford, and Clemson. The lengthy defensive back is one of the leaders on the Wildcats team, and one of his main goals is to not only reach the State Championship game. Pouncey would love to add that state title to his resume.
Pouncey has received 19 offers currently, and says his offer from Stanford was his biggest to him. “I think Stanford because it was the first big time one I got and it shocked me.” he stated. There will be plenty more teams to join the list, as he would love to add a Texas offer to the list next. Florida’s big 3 has all offered and are recruiting Pouncey to their respected schools, but he is open to everyone currently. Florida State is the school that he hears from the most. Pouncey would like to take all his visists before putting a leader group together, so it looks like this recruitment is far from over.
While looking for a school of his choice, he would like to find a place that feels like home. Pouncey recently visited Florida for junior day, and has plans to visit Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, and Texas next month. This looks like a recruitment that could be a national recruitment and one to watch, as the florida schools will do what they can to keep the defensive back home; meanwhile, others will give them all they can handle during this process.
